South Asian Melioidosis Congress in Manipal, India on November 2015 is first Congress to be held in this region involving countries like India, Srilanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar, Bhutan and Pakistan to increase the awareness about the deadly killer Disease, Melioidosis. The disease is most often mis-or under-diagnosed and it needs to be addressed in the forum of microbiologists, epidemiologists, ID specialists, and public health personnel, who can further form a network and work on this disease. South Asian Melioidosis Congress will help the researchers and doctors meet the global experts on the disease and will help learn from each other.
